You have got some audio sampling CDs?
You'd like to have all samples in WAV format but you don't want to spend countless hours cutting and trimming every sample manually using a WAV-editor?
Then WaveKnife is what you are looking for!
This is a screenshot:

WaveKnife was developed for MS Windows 9x/NT/2000/XP.
WaveKnife has to decide wether a sample within the source WAV file represents "silence" or "sound". Every sample with a level below the Noise Level value will be treated as "silence".
On audio sampling CDs there are some short periods of silence (gaps) between the sounds. If WaveKnife finds a period of silence within the source WAV file which is longer than the Gap Length it will split the WAV file at the beginning of the gap. Just play around with the sliders and you will get a feeling for it.
Simply delete WaveKnife. It was written for a very special purpose. And it was written to fulfill only my needs. For me it does exactly what it was meant to do.
If you'd like to see more features or if you find any bugs don't hesitate to send me an e-mail. But please don't expect to get a reply, as I'm very busy. But I will read every comment!
WaveKnife 1.14alpha was published on 2004/03/06.
Changes from the previous version: new Reset button to load default parameters;
parameters and paths are saved to ini-file; minor window layout changes;
rebuilt under Windows XP.
See WaveKnife.txt for further details.
